WEBSITE STUFF

WordPress.org is the platform I use to build my own, and my clients’ websites. I love the flexibility & functionality of it.

Siteground is where I host all of my sites – it’s great value for money & their customer service is amazing! Prices start from £2.75 per month.

For the best WordPress themes, I always head to Bluchic. Their themes are beautiful, functional, responsive and easy to use & customise.

SOCIAL MEDIA

My go-to tool for scheduling Instagram posts is Planoly. Not only does it have a visual planner but it also posts directly to Instagram for you.

Automate your pinning and save time with Tailwind. You can also boost your reach and find new content to pin quickly with Tribes.

For everything else, I use SmarterQueue. It’s super easy-to-use and the evergreen scheduling saves me over 8 hours a week!

EMAILS AND LANDING PAGES

We all know that growing an email list and keeping in touch with your subscribers is crucial to the running of any business. I use Convertkit for everything email list related – I love the control you have over your subscribers and the easy with which forms and automations can be set up.

Landing pages are a crucial part of growing your email list. Whether it’s an opt-in freebie or a sales page for your latest product or service. It can be hard to know where to start with them though which is why I love these landing page templates from Bluchic. They’re super easy to use!

COPYWRITER (THAT’S ME!)

Whether it’s an opt-in page, a sales page, a sales funnel or a welcome sequence, what you write is important! It can also be really challenging. So, if you want more time to do the fun things in your biz, why not outsource this stuff to an awesome copywriter like me? #shamelessplug

LEGAL AND FINANCE

Make sure that everything in your biz is legal. From contract templates to Ts & Cs, The Contract Shop has everything you need.

Dubsado helps me manage all of my clients, contracts, workflows and invoicing. It really is magical! I particularly like the timer tool and templates.

QUICKBOOKS

I use Quickbooks – Self-employed to help me track income and expenditure as I go. It’s really helpful and saves loads of time when it comes to tax time!

GRAPHICS AND IMAGES

Canva is a great free tool for creating graphics for your blog, website and social media. The pro version is great value for money and has some excellent, time-saving features.

The Styled Stock Society is my absolute favourite place to get feminine stock photos for my blogs and social media accounts. Great for someone who isn’t a photographer!

If you’re looking for images, graphics, fancy fonts and cutesy stickers for your site then Creative Market is 100% for you. Plus, sign up to their list and get 6 free products every Monday!

TOOLS FOR COURSES AND WEBINARS ETC.

If you’re thinking of selling courses then I would highly recommend Teachable. A popular and well-known platform for creating courses and membership areas, Teachable is trusted by thousands of teachers AND students.

Do you regularly have video calls with clients? Do you like to share your screen during those calls? Do you want to be able to record those calls for future reference? Then Zoom is the tool for you!

Screencast-o-matic is my favourite tool for recording my screen and my voice for tutorials and course content. There is a free version but the premium version has more functionality and no watermark.

If courses aren’t your thing but you do want to sell templates, ebooks, workbooks, printables, WordPress themes…the list goes on…then Sendowl is the tool for you.
